XIAOZHI CHEN et Vissi d’Arte, Artist Jewelry Joint Exhibition
Xiaozhi Chen has been a professional gilder and restorer of ancient art in France for many years. Alongside this activity, she devotes herself to the creation of personal works on verre églomisé, a technique dating from Antiquity.
The paintings and gilding that she creates are the fruit of her imagination, inspired by the history of art and heritage conservation techniques.
Verre églomisé is the art of the opposite. It consists of successively depositing layers of different materials of mineral origin, but also of plant or even animal origin, on the back of a piece of glass. The patterns thus created, deposited or engraved, appear through the piece of glass, exposed on the front side.
