"Entre chien et loup Chaotic Forest" Double Exhibition
A painter and leaf gilder of Chinese origin, Xiaozhi CHEN has devoted himself to decorative arts since 2019, and particularly to the art of gold leaf decoration. The églomisé glass panels, frescoes and wall decorations that she creates are the fruit of her imagination. They are inspired by art history and heritage conservation techniques discovered in art restoration.
Graduated from Beijing Fine Arts in the mural painting section in 2003, Xiaozhi CHEN, passionate about the refinement of materials, is interested in the rediscovery of traditional know -how, notably leaf gilding to awaken poetry and perception sensitive in space.
Its tailor-made creations give shape to decoration projects not only for private clients including the Gough family of Caterpillar, artists such as filmmaker Chinlin Hsieh, but also international decorators such as Hutton Wilkinson, and many others.
She lives in Paris and works in her workshop in Asnières sur Seine.
Her collaboration with Vissi d'Arte allows her to explore another facet of decorative arts, so close to the precious material she uses herself: the world of jewelry, from vintage jewelry from the big houses, to designer jewelry. artists and jewelry artists. The decor she imagined for this exhibition evokes a cabinet of curiosities, with a baroque and contemporary expression, like a precious, whimsical and artistic setting, for these objects of emotion that are collectible jewelry.
