Like a generalist in the era of Leonardo da Vinci or Linnaeus, he is an artist closely related to literature, philosophy and natural science. The works of artist Chen Xiaozhi always have a timeless and fantastic temperament, full of imagination, self-reflection and compassionate sense of crisis. As a foil artist, she believes that gold is like a black hole with huge mass, bright and decadent, constant and changeable. She wants to look back at today's earth and starry sky in the distant future, thereby triggering nostalgia and love for the "present", and re-sorting the order of all things from the perspective of others. In the long memory of reason and emotion, artist Chen Xiaozhi retells what he sees and thinks in the form of "mirror reflection painting", and draws on Linnaeus' method of using the name of God as a classification of the organisms he sees, naming 11 works, divided into two categories of "astronomy" and "all things", presenting them in a maze-like aesthetic posture, interlaced and changing. It is like the bright moon in the old days, and like the perspective of overlooking the earth from the starry sky, conveying the sigh of the past time, and also conveying the judgment and vision of the future. Like Proust in the past, artist Chen Xiaozhi's creative inspiration comes from the mysterious intersection of time and space in memory, which is both real and illusory, full of childhood echoes and corresponding images. She uses foil leaves and treasure pavilions to sort out her artistic life, fight against time and vanity, and reflect the strange world. On the one hand, she connects the glorious history, and on the other hand, she points to the endless future.
